Doorway and Lobby

The following images are courtesy of Photographer David Decaro from www.davelandweb.com.
Thank you David for your valued contributions.

The original entrance to the club remains in the same location since the opening in 1967. While the original doorway remains in tact, complete with the famous '33' mirrored plaque, the new entrance is located approx 15 yards to the West, across from Cristal d'Orleans.

The graceful design of the speaker box and doorway panels reflect the Art Nouveau theme which awaits you within.

Turn of the century gas light fixtures create a gentle flicker as you approach the door, a subtle
hint that from this point, time begins to slow and the reality of modern life is best left outside.

Prohibition ended on Dec. 5th, 1933, Walt's 32nd birthday. The swan song of  the American speakeasy had been sung, but
the charm of these mysterious and clandestine establishments was far from over. Like those locked-door dispensaries of years past,
a quick glance from a cast member through this peep hole to confirm your identity, may just be in order.

Members scan their special cards to notify the host and hostess of their arrival.

Entering the guest's lobby, your reservations are confirmed and your culinary adventure begins.

The Royal Street Bachelors greet each guest through this lovely painting by John Horny.
Jack, Herb and Ernest played in New Orleans Square beginning in 1966.

Club themed gifts are available for those dining within. The product offerings have been expanded, making it somewhat
difficult to choose which select piece you'll be carrying home in one of those lovely cobalt blue totes.
